ABOUT ME
I am a photographer and graphic designer based in the beautiful Garden Route of South Africa - Riversdale.

Since a young age I always loved doing art and being creative, and that passion just kept on growing through the years. Hence, I went and studied at Studio 7 School of Photography and Design in 2020, where I obtained my certificate.
​
My mission in life is to always find the beauty in everything, even the simplest most unnoticeable things in life. I love making people stop their busy and never-ending schedule, and just think about the small, unappreciated and forgotten pieces of our lives. Even if it is only for a second, where we appreciate all the wonderful and extraordinary things the Lord has created and given to us.

Photography is my way of never forgetting the important and special moments in life. It is my way of freezing a memory, which would usually disappear with time, and make it last forever.
MY ADVENTUROUS SIDE

I would do anything to get that perfect angle, composition or shot. It is exhilarating to know you are in a very high danger zone, but you just trust the rider and focus on the photo.

I am a very adventurous person, I love trying new things and also living outside of my comfort zone. My dream is to travel the world and take pictures of all the incredible places, cultures, experiences and even the everyday lives of travelers. While doing that, obviously I would do the thousands of things on my bucket list, or what my best friend and I like to say, "Our TO DO List".
MY STORY
I grew up on a farm just outside of Riversdale, Western Cape. I finished school at 16 and studied short courses at home the year after that. When I turned 18, I went on a gap year at Beyond Adventure, where I learned a lot about myself, what I want to study, and pushed and grew my comfort zones by leaps and bounds.

I am currently farming on our family owned farm, with my father and grandfather and do photography and design on the side. I am the manager of the sheep branch, where I learn new things every day. I am very grateful for the opportunity to have grown up and to now also work on our family's farm and thus be able to live out my dreams I had from a young age. During the gap year, I realized photography and design are my passions, and I would love to do them for a living. I am very fortunate to be one of the few people able to say that I enjoy my job, because I am doing what I love and what I am passionate about.

Some of the most important factors in my life, which make me who I am, are my family, my friends and my faith. These three are my cornerstones and everything I build my life on. My passion is mostly photography, but my other passions in life are farming, reading, going on adventures with my friends, spending quality time with my family and pets and most of all, taking pictures of all these things.
​
My vision for my photography is to make a difference and bring awareness to causes that I feel strongly about. My motto in life is what Mother Teresa said, "I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples". That is what I strive for and hope to accomplish in my lifetime. Even if using my photos puts a smile on one single person's face a day - it would be worth it.
